HOW TO SKIP THE LONGEST LINES IN PARIS

Millions flock each year to explore the most romantic city in the world, and large crowds mean long queues. But you do not need to spend your getaway to Paris standing for hours in lines each day, these lines can all be avoided!

Many are unaware of simple tricks and tickets to avoid those long queues at the top attractions in Paris, but we are here to change this.

Here's how to skip the longest lines in Paris...

The Eiffel Tower

Remember the key is to plan ahead. If you know well in advance when you will be visiting Paris then we suggest buying your ticket to the Eiffel Tower in advance by visiting this page. With this ticket you can go straight to the queue for people with tickets, on the date and time you chose when booking.

If you want to beat the queue completely we highly recommend going on the Skip The Line Eiffel Tower Tour. This is an escorted tour in a small group, allowing you to completely skip the line and head straight up to the top of the Eiffel Tower!

The Palace of Versailles

The Palace of Versailles is one of France's most beautiful attractions, which makes it one of the most popular and crowded. We recommend if you are planning a visit to purchase your tickets online check out this link, otherwise you will be stuck waiting in 2 lines - one line for your tickets and another to enter.

The best advice we can give you if you do not want to go on a skip the line tour is to get there early and avoid the midday rush by visiting the palace last.

We experienced Versailles with no lines by going on the Versailles Bike Tour. This is a full day tour visiting not only the Palace, but also Marie Antoinette's Hamlet and the Trianons. The grounds of the chateau are huge, so cycling was a great option to get around and explore more than you would be foot.

Notre Dame

The entry to the cathedral is free, making the lines even longer. We suggest having an early start to the day to avoid that midday tourist rush. We visited the Notre Dame cathedral at around 9am (the cathedral opens at 8am for you super early birds) and we had no line to enter.

The Towers of the Notre Dame are a different story. There are only 2 ways to avoid the lines to climb to the top, either get there 30 minutes before opening and wait the 30 minutes rather than the usual 1.5 hour wait or go on an organised tour.

If you opt for the organised tour we recommend the Skip the Line - Notre Dame Towers & Sainte-Chapelle Tour as you not only climb the towers, but also visit the Sainte-Chapelle, skipping the lines at both attractions.

The Louvre

Being the most visited museum in the world, of course their will be lines. But not many people know that the Pyramid entrance is only one entrance of three. The second entrance is called the Porte des Lions entrance (noticeable by two lion statues on either side of the entrance) or you can head to the Carrousel de Louvre entrance, found in the underground shopping center.

We also recommend visiting on a Wednesday or Friday evening as not many tourist know that the museum is open until 9.45pm on these days, which means less crowds!
