VISITING WHISTLER IN THE SUMMER
Seeing as we only have a few weeks left here in beautiful Vancouver we decided to go on a mini road trip up to Whistler for the day. Now, we have been to Whistler before during the winter for a day of skiing, however this return trip was in the Spring time and we had no idea what to expect. Was there going to be snow? Do people visit Whistler in the warmer months? Is there going to be anything to do?
To answer those questions. Yes, there is still snow! Yes, we found out Whistler in the Summer can be just as busy as Whistler in the Winter. And lastly, yes, there is a lot to do when visiting Whistler in the Summer.
Here is a little guide for those planning on visiting Whistler in the Summer time.
How to get there
By car: From Vancouver you simply jump on the Sea to Sky Highway (Highway 99) and it will take you straight to Whistler. It is a scenic 2 hour drive, giving you stunning views of the Canadian wilderness.
By bus:The Pacific Coach Lines (PSL) offers daily, frequent transportation from Vancouver to Whistler. It is $55 for a ticket from downtown Vancouver with free WiFi available.
By air: From May to September you can take the Whistler Seaplane from Vancouver Harbour to Whistler. For $184 you will fly over glaciers, rugged peaks and lush alpine meadows before arriving in Whistler.
