SWIMMING WITH WILD DOLPHINS

It was my 24th birthday and Jess had surprised me with a little adventure, a day out swimming with wild dolphins. The elation of emotion that came from this surprise was simply because we had both never swum with wild dolphins before.

There are a lot of things that makes us happy whilst travelling and one of those is experiencing wild animals in their natural habitat.

Wild Dolphin Swim

Our day started nice and early with a drive through coffee in hand and a 45 minute journey to Rockingham where we blasted our favourite album as we both sang along - there was no time for tiredness on this 6am wakeup call.

Once we had arrived we suited up and started our journey out too sea. Our marine biologist guide informed the group that we could be out for several hours before jumping in due the nature of the dolphins.

To our much excitement after half an hour we were already in the water swimming with the dolphins. We could hardly contain ourselves as a mom and baby dolphin swam up to check us out before carrying on with their day.

It's hard to explain the feeling that rushed through our body.

We spent several hours in and out of the water as we cruised around beautiful Rockingham as we captured some really spectacular moments. This will certainly be a memorable birthday.
