We recently returned from a 3 week trip gallivanting through Malaysia. We made it our mission to see as much of this beautiful country as possible, whilst also working with locals at numerous volunteer organisations. It was such an eye opening trip and we have left loving Malaysia so much more then we ever expected we would.
We found that Malaysia is way underrated and we want to convince you that this country needs to be added to you Southeast Asia bucket list.

This cheeky guy was one of many orang-utans we volunteered with in Kuching at Bukit Merah Orang-utan Island.
A visit to Malaysia is not complete without spending a few days exploring Penang's incredible street art (and tasting all the yummy food).
We're sure these two twins don't need any introduction. Get a snap in front of the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur is a must!
Make sure you spend sometime in Borneo. This is a shot we got of the iconic City Mosque in Kota Kinabalu.
If you're in Kuching make sure you head out to the Sarawak Cultural Center to get a feel of what it was like living in a Malaysian tribe back in the day.

Who knew that just a few minutes drive out of the hustle & bustle of KL city you could find this stunning religious cave. We definitely recommend taking the climb to the top and spending sometime exploring inside the cave.

We spent the night camping in the jungles of Merapoh. Such a unique experience - and yes, leeches did attack!
