HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR SOUND QUALITY WHEN VLOGGING: THE MICRO MUFF

If you have ever vlogged your holiday or plan on vlogging your holiday then you must trust us when we say that sound quality is just as important as video quality. Our only disclosure is that it took us over 560 videos on YouTube to finally realise this tip, and we are so happy we did.

DSLR camera's have decent enough in built microphones that will appease most vloggers out there. However, the one biggest caveat is the minute the wind starts to pick up you have this annoying blowing sound ruining your perfectly great speech about how breathtaking the view from the top of the Eiffel tower is.

This is where the Micro Muff comes in. A small fluffy piece of fur that is stuck on top of your in built microphone. When you are in a very windy area, the fur blocks the wind from muffling your audio but still lets your voice through.

We have them on both our Sony A7SII DLSR and Canon G7x point and shoot with our biggest complaint being on why we didn't order these earlier.

You can grab them for both your DSLR and point and shoot camera from £12.95 (plus postage).

Check out our video below where we apply the Micro Muff and give it a test at the beach.

Thanks to Micro Muff for sending us two of their original Micro Muffs for DSLR cameras and a Skinny Muff, as always our opinions are our own.
