What to do
Canggu is Bali's surfers paradise and a haven for spiritual seekers. During your first visit you have to attempt at least one surf or yoga lesson - it's a right of passage here in Canggu. Not only that, there are amazing temples to check out, unique ways of exploring the area and local markets delivering the goods.
Ride some waves
Canggu has some of the most amazing beaches to surf in Bali. Whether you are an experienced surfer or you have never touched a surf board in your life, Canggu has something for you.
Experienced surfers will have plenty of fun at the many good spots to choose from, including Echo, Berawa or Pererenan Beach.
If you are a beginner, we suggest you spend a bit of time with an instructor before you take on the waves on your own. There are several places at Echo Beach that offer surf lessons ranging from a single lesson to week long courses.
