THE BEST HIKES ON THE WEST COAST

We have spent the last 3 months exploring North Americas West Coast and have learnt something we never knew before visiting, the West Coast has some of the most beautiful hikes we have ever experienced.
Whilst planning our next few months travelling through North America we have come across even more stunning hikes we just have to do before moving on to our next adventure.
Here is our list of the best hikes on the West Coast we have completed or are planning to complete over the next few months.
The Narrows, Zion National Park, Utah

The Narrows is an unusual hike as a third of the route is in water. Most hikers will wade at least waist deep and many will swim a few short sections.(source)
Antelope Canyon, Utah

Antelope Canyon is one of the most famous and most photographed canyons on earth. The canyon is located on Navajo Nation land and a Navajo-licensed guide must accompany you. The most popular section of canyon is called The Corkscrew. Ensure you make a booking if you want to hike this area of the canyon.(source)
Mt. Hollywood Trail, California
Hollywood Hike
If you want to get as close to the Hollywood sign as you legally can, than you must hike the Mt. Hollywood Trail. It takes you right behind the Hollywood sign with spectacular views of Los Angeles. We suggest packing a little picnic as it takes about an hour to get to the top and has a nice little spot to have some lunch while you take in the views.
Plain of Six Glaciers, Lake Louise, Banff

This is one of Banff's most classic hike trails, with some of the best scenery you will ever see. The trail follows the shoreline of Lake Louise, so make sure you bring your camera on this one.(source)
Naches Peak Loop Trail, Mt. Rainier
We visited Mt. Rainier in the winter, however we would love to return in the summer months to complete the Naches Peak Loop Trail. This loop provides hikers with breathtaking views of the mountain and a look at the beautiful subalpine meadows below.

Bald Hills Hike, Jasper

This hike follows an old fire road and takes you to the best viewpoint overlooking Maligne Lake. (source)
Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

On many bucket lists, including our own, the Grand Canyon is a must when travelling through Arizona. There are so many amazing hikes in the area that we could not pick just one. The best hikes seem to take 2-3 days, so if you are planning on seeing the area set aside a few days to camp and hike.(source)
Glacier Point, Yosemite National Park, California
Yosemite National Park
Ascending 3200 feet above the valley floor, Glacier Point offers panoramic views of Yosemite Valley, Half Dome,Yosemite Falls, and Yosemite's high country. Yosemite National Park is one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited and we highly recommend staying over night before moving on.
Panorama Ridge Hike, Squamish, British Columbia

One of the most amazing hikes in all of British Columbia is the Panorama Ridge Hike. At 15km it is a long hike, but a beautiful one. The hike begins at Rubble Creek and ends at Panorama Ridge, taking you through beautiful and deep forests, across countless idyllic streams, through meadows filled with flowers, and past dozens of jaw dropping viewpoints.
