Bullara Station
Bullara Station is an authentic outback station stay experience that is nestled right in the heart of Ningaloo. It is only a short drive to excursions like snorkelling or swimming with mantas and whale sharks! It is the perfect camping site to explore and adventure in the morning and then spends the afternoon lazily in the hammock. Best of all, you can enjoy an evening around a fire pit sharing stories with other travellers staying at the Station!
Some other perks that we love are the cafe that always bakes fresh scones, free damper tastings that you can sign up for three times a week, and Friday night burger nights around the campfire.
While there you also have to try one of their many options for outdoor showers. Our favourite showering under the stars from their wood fired donkey shower!

Quobba Station
Quobba Station is well known for world-class waves, stunning beaches, and unforgettable campaign experiences. This tiny sliver of paradise is just 126 kilometres north of Carnarvon. You easily can spend time on the dunes admiring the waterfront panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and the Front Beach. It's also a fantastic place to watch whales during their migratory season from May to August, only 50 meters from the sea!
Wooramel Station
This unique station campground is ideally situated right under the majestic gum trees on the banks of the Wooramel River. At Wooramel Station you can come here to relax under the naturally heated therapeutic artesian bore baths from the Birdrong aquifer. You can also experience abundant wildlife and birds, have your private campfire, and admire the beautiful night skies and the friendly outback atmosphere.
The Artesian Bore Hot Baths are probably the top highlight from this campground! The water from the Birdrong aquifer travels from 240 meters below the ground to the surface, then piped into free-flowing pools to enjoy. The water is always 33 degrees with a high mineral content that is soothing for tired muscles.

Lake Argyle Caravan Park
Lake Argyle Caravan Park is one of the most scenic and lush caravan parks that we have encountered! With big shady and grassy sites, you can enjoy the view of the iconic Boab trees around the park near the Kimberley. Here, you can rent several types of accommodations like safari tents, cabins, and luxury villas. This place is fantastic, for more reasons than just the accommodations!
There is a restaurant, bar, and a gorgeous beer garden. There's even a pool! The Lake Argyle Resort and Caravan Park's pool is one of the most photographed pools in Oz, and the infinity pool has a perfect view over the lake, hills, and surrounding cliffs.
James Price Point
If you love off-grid camping, then this is the perfect spot for you! This is a free camp, and it is entirely off-grid. The Dampier Peninsula is full of great camping spots that are perched on the scenic Pindan cliffs. James Price Point is about 50 kilometres north of Broome in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Here, you'll be able to take in red cliffs, white sand, turquoise waters, and the classic coastline colours of the Kimberley.
Let us know if you have been to any of these camping sites and which sites are your favourite!
