It was just after lunch in Koh Kood Thailand as we jumped into a giant birds nest, fastened the provided seat belts and gave our waiter the thumbs up. We slowly began to rise into the air as our bamboo treehouse was lifted six meters above the ground and into the jungle, what a unique addition to our already unforgettable day.

As we slowly rose the sea began to appear through an opening in the canopy and what a view it was. The moment we reached the top of the tree, our waiter started to prepare our table for our afternoon high tea. Some may argue that your table should be set before having high tea, but this was just one aspect of the experience.

Glasses of orange juice were being filled and baskets full of cakes, sandwiches and other delicious treats were slowly filling our wooden table. As we made our way through the feast presented we noticed one minor detail missing from our high tea... and that was tea itself. What's a high tea without tea?

"Tea or coffee?" our waiter enquired and after our answers were given the local Thai worker hooked himself up to a line and before we knew what was going on he zipped away into the canopy. A few moments later he returned with a hot brew... who can say that they have had high tea in a tree delivered via zip line?
