We are big believers in putting our travel money towards experiences rather than hotels, but when hotels are the destination we can be a little bit swayed... especially when they have a jaw dropping infinity pool! Here are some of the worlds best...
Marina Bay Sands, Singapore
If you want to swim above a city (and in the largest rooftop pool) then look no further than the Marina Bay Sands. Arguably one of the most notable and iconic pools due to its modern and recognisable design, this pool must be experienced in person to believe. However, don't expect to see the pool if you aren't a guest of the hotel - strictly paying customers only.

Kuang Si Waterfalls, Laos
The only natural infinity pool to make the list is in Laos. Move your way through the three-tiered beauty with the best part being that it's open to the public (take note Marina Bay Sands).
Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti, Tanzania
Okay, I needed to get this one out of the way early because one it's quite the long shot to call it an infinity pool, more of a notable mention. But imagine going for a swim and right in front of you is a herd of wild elephants?
Jade Mountain, St Lucia
Every one of the 24 suites at the hotel are presented with their own personal (and equally breathtaking) infinity pool. Jade Mountain goes straight to the top of our list due to most hotels having their pool open to all guests - personal all the way!
The Cambrian Hotel, Switzerland
This one makes the list for "that looks incredibly cold, but I'll brave it for my Instagram shot". Thankfully the pool at the Cambrian is heated (with a spa close by) so you can relax and take in those awe-inspiring views of the Swiss Alps.
Grace Santorini, Greece
It is almost worth basing your entire trip to Greece around the Grace Hotel in Santorini. This jaw dropping infinity pool has been carved into the side of a cliff to allow maximum enjoyment of the beautiful seas below.
Ubud Hanging Gardens, Bali
A pool set amongst a luscious jungle backdrop is on just about every wanderlust Pinterest board of every travel day dreamer. Some infinity pools are best photographed on ground level but not here, head up high to really take in the two-level (yes, you read that right) TWO-LEVEL pool.
Nam Hai, Vietnam
Right on the beachfront, Nam Hai's infinity pool is beckoning you to answer the question "Do I head to the pool, or the beach?". Both would be a valid answer as I am personally torn between the two.
Hotel Villa Mahal, Turkey
This boutique hotel is just calling out for romance. You come here to get lost as you drink cocktails whilst you watch the world go by.
Hotel Fasano, Rio De Janeiro
You need to head to the rooftop to see this infinity pool, but once you're there the views of Sugarlaof mountain and Ipanema beach will make you never want to head back down.
Laucala Island Resort, Fiji
This unique infinity pool is placed on top of an even larger (more natural looking) pool with the best part being the glass end. I would spend hours bobbing my head up and down for reasons I don't even know myself.
Huvafen Fushi, Maldives
The first of two pools from the Maldives to make the list (there were too many to choose from that Maldives could have its own list) is Huvafen Fushi. At night guests are treated to coloured lights glowing beneath the surface to give off a bioluminescent feel.
Belmond Hotel Carusa, Italy
If you needed anymore reasons to visit the Amalfi Coast then this one trumps the lot of them. Fall in love with this pool followed by Italy as you try to find words to describe the setting of this place.
Rangali Island, Maldives
Who says that you have to have the largest pool in the world to be inspiration worthy? Sometimes small packages pack a punch and that's where Rangali Island squeezes onto the list. I am still trying to find another excuse to return to the Maldives and I think this pool wins me over.
Alila Uluwatu, Bali, Indonesia
Okay Bali needs to seriously calm down. Two pools from the same small country have made the list and I am so torn that I had to include both. On top of a cliff in Uluwatu, the pool at Alila is begging you to just stare out into the unknown.
Notable Mention: The Library, Koh Samui, Thailand
Not an infinity pool but I just had to include it. This bizarre pool is covered in mosaic glass tiles with colours of blood red, orange and yellow. Not sure if I would swim in it, but it has my attention enough to warrant a visit.
