We think we may have found the best kept secret in high-end luxury accommodation on offer in Paris.

This little secret is situated out of the spotlight and on a quiet street in the ninth arrondissement, Hôtel de Nell is the perfect hideaway for travellers wanting some time away from the tourist masses but still in a prime location to explore the city of lights.

Checking Into Hotel De Nell

Hotel De Nell

Our arrival in Paris marked our first time visiting, so when we first saw the white, traditional Parisian building were we would be spending the night, we knew our adventure had officially begun. We were greeted by a friendly staff member in front of a beautiful bookcase that took up the entire back wall of the reception. A swift check in left us with no time to warm up to the fire in the room behind us, which we didn't mind at all as we were eager to see our room.A quick lift ride later and room tour of our stunning classic room we were given some delicious Parisian pastries handmade by the chef downstairs and left to get settled in. If you have been keeping up on our adventures in Paris through our daily vlogs you know our first order of business is to put a pod in the Nespresso machine and get straight into our plate of goodies.

The Room

We stepped into our room and instantly fell in love as we are both obsessed with minimalistic design. Our classic room featured a bright and fresh white palette with large floor to ceiling windows, allowing natural light to pour in. The room had everything we could of asked for - a large bed, much needed desk space, even more important Nespresso machine, flat screen TV, free WiFi and a stunning marbled bathroom - the perfect room to spend our first day in Paris.

The Parisian Boutique Experience

It was a struggle to put this paragraph together without taking up the entire space talking about our first experience tasting homemade Parisian croissants, crepes & pancakes. We will always remember the checkered floor, and freshly chalked blackboard containing the day's menu as it was this room that gave us the best tasting pancakes we have ever had. If you don't manage to stay the night at Hotel De Nell, at least make it your mission to grab breakfast at the hotels cute restaurant (and make sure you order their pancakes - they are seriously the tastiest!)

Alongside the Parisian architecture and stunning windows that open up to the buildings and cute street below, it's the personal experience you get from staying in a boutique hotel that makes this hotel shine. You are not a room number at Hotel De Nell, with every staff interaction feeling like you have a French friend who has invited you to stay at your home away from home.

The Area

Hôtel de Nell is located on a cute, quiet street in the residential Ninth Arrondissement away from the tourist hub but in a prime location to explore the city. A major Métro stop, the Grands Boulevards, is a few blocks away which will take you to the Eiffel Tower, The Notre Dame, The Louvre or any other famous Paris attractions. The streets surrounding the hotel are lined with theaters, cafes and trendy restaurants.

After a day of exploring the highly populated tourist attraction it was so nice to come back to a quiet street to relax and watch the sunset.

Final Thoughts

Hôtel de Nell has all the chic minimalist decor, elegant staff and top-class cuisine it needs to be the perfect 5 star Parisian boutique. If you are looking for a luxurious Parisian holiday, away from the city centers hustle and bustle and rather be more immersed in the true Paris experience, this hotel is for you.

You can book a Classic Room for AUD$672 per night.
