This beautiful waterfall is found near Milford Sound in New Zealand's South Island. At 580 m (1,904 ft) the falls were long believed to the be tallest in New Zealand, however because of the different definitions, people argue that the highest are the Browne Falls in Doubtful Sound. Tallest or not, it is a waterfall that must be seen with your own two eyes!

Yosemite Falls is the highest waterfall in Yosemite National Park, dropping a total of 739 m (2,425 ft). Located in the state of California, it is a major attraction in the park, especially in late spring when the water flow is at its peak. We have seen this bad boy up close and personal, the streaming falls against the granite rock is a stunning sight to see.

These magical falls are located in Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia, one of the oldest in Southeast Europe. These falls may not be gigantic, but have more of a whimsical, fairytale feel to them.

Ready for one tall waterfall? Tugela Falls is found in Drakensberg, South Africa and has a total drop of 948 m (3, 110 ft) making it the tallest waterfall in Africa.

Bigar Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Romania due to the way the water falls. The waters of the strong spring Bigar flow into Minis river, falling from a height of 8 metres on a moss-covered calc-tuff. It leaves for an incredible sight to see.
