CRUISING IN YOUR 20'S
There is big misconception out there that cruising is expensive and only for newlyweds, families or old people, this is certainly not true. We started cruising before we were 20 but have so far been on 2 cruises together since hitting this decade of tweenty-ness and we love it.
We find that cruising is a cheap alternative to luxury (and adventure) travel and at the same time you get to go ahead and use that big thick white board marker to tick a whole lot of countries off your bucket list.
Cheap? Aren't Cruises Expensive?
Yes, we agree, initial reactions of when you look at the total price of a cruise can seem ridiculous. However, when you break down the price and realise that it not only includes your accommodation, food and activities - it technically includes your transportation (or if you want to look at it - flights) to each country and/or island.
In 2010 we did a 7 day cruise in the Caribbean for $2103 (including taxes) for a triple balcony cabin. Yep that's for three people and a balcony view. So at around $700 per person for a 7 night cruise worked out to be around $100 bucks a night for everything mentioned above.

Exciting? Aren't Cruises Boring?
This is where all the fun begins, the vast variety of activities available will interest every thrill seeking adventurer. Here are some of the activities we have done on just one of our cruises:
Zip Lining through a forrest in St. Lucia
A Pirate Party in Barbados (with plenty of rum)
Shipwreck Snorkelling in Barbados
Being blown away by a jet plane on Maho Beach in St. Maarten
Horseback riding in the Caribbean
... just to name a few.

Young People? Aren't Cruises for Families/Retired Folk
Can't argue with you on this point, yes cruising is primarily for families, old people and newlyweds - however that doesn't mean the boat is extinct of 20-something-year olds.
Just about every night we easily found social events such as parties or special events at the nightclub. Most young people we found on the cruise were happy to chat to us. But to be honest with all the activities and island exploring after having a few drinks we were ready to pass out with our food bellies.
Speaking of food bellies....

All You Can Eat!
Travelling when you're young can be expensive, we all know that. What's even worse is when you realise that your spending money reserved for shopping, activities and drinks is unfortunately that same money used for your food.
I think we both know where this point is going. Save your money, eat all you can for free (well included in your cruise fee - but you get the point). This also includes 24 hour room service!

You totally get to sing "I'm on a boat" at the top of your lungs...
Have you been cruising before? If so where?
