5 SIGNS YOU HAVEN'T TRAVELLED ENOUGH

Have you been bitten by the travel bug? Do you know if you have travelled enough? Well doctor Stephen & Jess (note we are not doctors) are here to give you the WebMD summary to see if you have the symptoms and signs of whether you have travelled enough.

1. When someone asks you, what's your hobby? The word 'travel' isn't in the top 5 words that come to mind

There is this exciting feeling when someone asks you what your hobbies are and travel is the first word that comes to your head. You know it's a hobby you love doing and love talking about with so many stories to share. Do you find that it is your third, fourth or even higher word that comes to mind? If it's not then it maybe time to start booking some more trips.

2. You haven't inspired at least one person to travel

There is this amazing feeling when you recommend a travel destination to a friend or co-worker and you see months later photographs of their trip appearing on Facebook. If you find your travels are not inspiring others you should get out there and go somewhere unique and away from the tourist hot spots to bring back stories and photos that inspire.

3. Your passport doesn't look like a child has attacked it with stamps

There is this warm and fuzzy feeling of excitement when you see the customs officer slam down a blue, green or purple (heck we don't care what colour) stamp onto your passport, but it is equally as disappointing when they don't. Flip open your passport and if your pages don't contain a mess of signatures, stamps and visas then you need to get out there and travel more.

4. Your home country and backyard is still not fully travelled yet

There is this disheartening feeling when you are talking to travellers overseas and they ask you about your home country and you struggle to recommend places for them to visit. Before you head out on a flight or a boat why not take a road trip and see what your country has to offer.

5. You don't have a friend you met travelling overseas that would let you crash on their couch (and vice versa)

There is this sense of gratitude when you know there are friends out there that are willing to help you save money on your holidays by offering their couch for you. What better way to explore an unknown country than with a local who is also a friend. When you are travelling take a moment to share a beer and story with a local, you never know who you will meet or what you will learn.

Bonus: You haven't planned your next trip

There is no excuse...get out there and plan your next trip.

Do you feel as though you have travelled enough?
