Day 1 (April 10): Welcome to Flores
Salam! Welcome to the picturesque Indonesian island of Flores, aptly named the "island of flowers". Upon your arrival at Ende Airport, make your way to your accommodation nestled in the heart of Mt Kelimutu National Park (airport transfers can be arranged for you). Later, gather for a warm welcome meeting with your guide, prepping us all for an unforgettable adventure. End your first day with a delightful welcome dinner, savouring local flavours and anticipating the journey ahead. (D)
Day 2 (April 11): Sunrise Adventures and Soothing Springs
Wake up bright and early and strap on your walking shoes. This morning, you’ll head out on a sunrise trek to Mt. Kelimutu. Make your way up the mountain to the viewpoint, where you’ll be greeted with spectacular views over the bright green, blue, and red crater lakes below.
Heading back down the mountain, stop by Murundao Waterfall. Jump in your private transfer and take a picturesque drive along the coast towards Bajawa. The foot of the looming stratovolcano – Mount Inerie – is home to a number of naturally occurring hot springs. Today, you’ll visit Mengeruda Hot Springs, where the waters are warmed by the nearby volcano and are said to contain medicinal properties.
After soaking your worries away, finish your day surrounded by waterfalls and overhanging trees. (B)

Day 3 (April 12): Exploring Ancient Villages and Local Flavours
Jump into your private transport this morning and travel to the town of Bena – a village known for its megalithic formations and traditional huts. Wander through the streets as your leader takes you on a guided walk through the village, admiring the intricate handiwork of the thatched hut roofs, impressive stone formations, and ancestral shrines.
Today, you’ll enjoy a locally made lunch in town before hopping back in your van and heading off to the town of Ruteng. Arriving in the late afternoon, take the opportunity to explore the town and don’t forget to grab some excellent insider recommendations for the best dinner spots for your local guide. (B, L)
Day 4 (April 13): Spiderweb Rice Fields and Coastal Charms
After breakfast, make your way south, stopping by Cara Village. Here, you’ll see the Lingko – rice fields planted in an intricate spiderweb pattern. Jumping back in your vehicle, drive along the picturesque south coast of Flores, overlooking the Sea of Saba before arriving in Dintor Village. Tonight, you’ll be sleeping in a homestay in town. The facilities may be simple here, but the serene surroundings and stunning sunrise and sunset will make up for unforgettable memories. (B)

Day 5 (April 14): Rainforest Trek to Wae Rebo
Today, you’ll be heading to the remote village of Wae Rebo – isolated from the rest of the island, this ancient tribal village is nestled in the middle of a lush rainforest valley, surrounded by mountains. Make sure you pack a small overnight bag before heading off, as your larger luggage will be stored in Dintor.
You'll be trekking into the rainforest to reach the village, so lace up your hiking shoes. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by the locals with a welcome ceremony and treated to a dinner of traditional dishes and speciality Wae Rebo coffee. Tonight, you’ll be sleeping in a Mbaru Niang – a tall, cone-shaped house completely covered in lontar thatch, made from the dried leaves of the native lontar tree. (B,L,D)
*Today’s hike will take 3-4 hours following a narrow path through dense rainforest. Sturdy hiking shoes and layers are recommended.
**Tonight, you will be staying with a local family. The conditions are basic. There will be simple mattresses set up on the floor in the communal area of the traditional house to sleep on, with sheets and pillows provided. There’s no private bedroom in this house, so everyone will be sleeping in the same big room. Bathing facilities are cold water bucket showers and there is a squat toilet, located outside. Dinner will be served in the house tonight – expect true local food, shared together while sitting on the floor
Day 6 (April 15): Jungle Mornings and Coastal Evenings
Wake up to the sounds of the jungle this morning and join your group for breakfast in the village. Afterward, embark on your return hike through the rainforest and meet your transport back to Dintor, where you’ll collect your luggage and freshen up with a shower and lunch.
Then, travel to Labuan Bajo. You have free time this evening to explore the city at your own pace. Situated on the west coast of Flores, Labuan Bajo offers expansive views across the Flores Sea and the islands on the horizon. Enjoy dinner in town before returning to your hotel for a restful evening. (B,L)
Day 7 (April 16): Sailing & Sunsets
Your sailing adventure begins this morning! After breakfast, make your way to the harbour where you’ll board your traditional sailing boat for the night. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink and an introduction to the boat as you set off to your first destination – Kelor Island.
Famous for its serenity, unspoiled scenery, and hiking opportunities, Kelor Island is the perfect spot to find gorgeous, panoramic views. This afternoon, hike to the top of the island and take in the surrounding beaches and rolling hills.
Afterwards, jump back on board and head to Manjarite Island, where you’ll spend your time snorkelling and swimming in the crystal-clear waters. Later in the afternoon, cruise to Kalong Island – a small mangrove inhabited by thousands of fruit bats. Watch the sunset over the horizon as the bats take flight for the evening, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. (B,L,D)
*You'll need to pack an overnight pack with your essentials for staying overnight on board the sailing boat. The rest of your luggage will be stored in Labuan Bajo
Day 8 (April 17): Peaks, Pink Sands, and Dragons
This morning, make landfall on Padar Island, the third-largest island in Komodo National Park. Hike to the top and take in the breathtaking views of the verdant landscape, with green hills stretching down to the shoreline, meeting the blue waters of the Savu Sea.
After your hike, cool off at Pink Beach and join the local sea life with some snorkelling. Next, sail to Komodo Island, where you’ll trek alongside the mighty Komodo dragons. Keep an eye out for these ancient-looking reptiles, getting up close and personal in their natural habitat.
After your adventures, make your way back to the harbour and cruise back to Labuan Bajo for a final night on the island. Head out for a celebratory farewell dinner together! (B,L,D)
Day 9 (April 18): Farewell to Flores
Today is your last day in Flores. We can help you organise your transfer to the airport if needed or if you continuing on your adventure farewell & happy adventuring! (B)
