Day 1 (Oct 3): Welcome to Nairobi

Jambo! Arrive in Nairobi and meet our representative at the airport. Transfer to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy the afternoon exploring Nairobi's cultural displays or relaxing at the hotel's pool. In the evening, dine at a vibrant local restaurant with fellow travellers, savouring traditional dishes. (D)

Day 2 (Oct 4): Nairobi to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and drive north along the Great Rift Valley escarpment (approximately 4 hours). Visit a local village for a cooking class and cultural experience. Enjoy lunch in the village before continuing to the lodge. Spend the evening at leisure with dinner and overnight at the lodge. (B,L,D)

Day 3 (Oct 5): Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

In the morning, enjoy a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park in an overland truck. This soda lake is home to 100’s of bird species, and we are lucky we will see it turn into a sea of pink! Return to the lodge for lunch and then proceed to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake in the Great Rift Valley. Discover its unique ecosystem and floating islands of papyrus reeds, while maybe spotting a hippo or two. Dinner and overnight at the camp.(B,L,D)

Day 4 (Oct 6): Leisure Day at Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely day at Lake Naivasha. You can choose from various optional activities, including a visit to Hell's Gate National Park with its stunning cliffs, gorges, and geothermal phenomena. Alternatively, take a boat trip on Lake Naivasha to soak in the lush surroundings, or explore the area by renting a bike. Dinner and overnight at the camp. (B,L,D)

Day 5 (Oct 7): Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara

After breakfast, depart for the renowned Maasai Mara Game Reserve in southwestern Kenya. En route, stop at the remote Loita Hills, a stronghold of Maasai tradition. Visit Tepesua Village, where Maasai Warriors will greet you with traditional songs and dances. Learn about the Maasai way of life and their eco-friendly handicrafts project, 'Tepesua Widows Income Project.' We will even explore a traditional Maasai home before continuing to your accommodation. Enjoy spacious tents with en suite bathrooms and stunning views of the plains and wildlife reserve. Dinner and overnight at the camp. (B,L,D)

Day 6 (Oct 8): Maasai Mara Game Drive

Rise before dawn for an exhilarating morning game drive, when wildlife is most active. Witness a captivating procession of animals, including elephants, giraffes, elands, and a rich variety of birdlife. Keep an eye out for black-maned lions, leopards, or cheetahs. Return to camp for lunch and relaxation during the heat of the day.

In the late afternoon, embark on another game drive, with the chance to spot animals as dusk falls. Dinner and overnight at the camp. (B,L,D)

Day 7 (Oct 9): Maasai Mara Sunrises

Savour a leisurely morning to your liking, whether it's relaxing on your private deck with a cup of coffee while scanning the reserve for wildlife or opting for an early morning game drive or walking safari. For a unique perspective of the Masai Mara, consider a sunrise hot air balloon ride. You can pre-book this breathtaking experience or arrange it on-site (subject to availability). The balloon ride supports conservation projects in the park, and you'll embark before dawn, capturing stunning photos and witnessing the vastness of the Mara plains and the early-morning movements of its wildlife herds.

In the afternoon, reconvene for another exhilarating 4x4 game drive in the park together before ending our final night together enjoying a farewell dinner together! (B,L,D)

Day 8 (Oct 10): Farewells

Enjoy breakfast at the camp before checking out of our camp. Depart for Nairobi, where you'll be transferred to the airport for your homeward flight, based on your flight timings. If you wish to extend your safari, we can arrange additional services for you (subject to availability). (B)
