Day 1 (July 15): Welcome to Calgary

Welcome to vibrant Calgary! Kick off your adventure with a welcome meeting at 6 pm, where you'll get an overview of the thrilling days ahead and meet your expert local guide along with your fellow travellers. Following the meeting, join us for a welcome dinner, where you can savour local flavours and start bonding with your group. Start your unforgettable journey in the heart of Calgary, setting the stage for the exciting expedition that awaits! (D)

Day 2 (July 16): Journey to the Jewel-Toned Lakes

This morning, depart from the urban landscape of Calgary and venture into the majestic mountains, where nature's masterpieces await. Your destination includes the stunning Moraine Lake and the world-renowned Lake Louise—both famed for their vibrant, glacier-fed blue waters and breathtaking backdrops of ten snow-capped peaks. These iconic lakes will capture your heart, leaving you awe-struck and speechless. Enjoy ample time to explore these natural wonders and their surrounding areas. As the day winds down, we will set up our first camp in the heart of the Canadian wilderness, preparing for a memorable night under the stars together. Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the Canadian Rockies and bond with your fellow adventurers in this pristine setting. (L,D)

Day 3 (July 17): Icefields Parkway to Jasper National Park

Rise early and set out on one of the most scenic drives in the world—the Icefields Parkway. As you travel towards Jasper National Park, you'll be flanked by towering glacier-capped peaks and pristine lakes, making every mile a visual feast. Take a break for a short hike to stretch your legs and truly connect with nature. Stop at the stunning, fox-shaped Peyto Lake and the powerful Athabasca Falls, capturing the raw beauty of these landscapes. Keep an eye out for iconic Rockies wildlife such as elk, moose, deer, bears, and bighorn sheep as you journey through this wild paradise.

Upon arriving in the quaint town of Jasper in the afternoon, take the opportunity to explore the park at your own pace. For the adventurers, consider renting a bike to pedal through some local trails. Alternatively, for a more leisurely pace, take a ride on the Jasper SkyTram up Whistlers Mountain—the highest and longest aerial tramway in Canada—for unparalleled views of the surrounding mountainscape. Day 4 (July 18): Exploring Maligne Lake

Today, immerse yourself in the stunning beauty of Maligne Lake, renowned for its breathtaking scenery of jagged mountains and lush green pine forests surrounding its glacial waters. Ensure your camera or phone is fully charged to capture these picturesque views. Embark on a panoramic cruise in a glass-enclosed, heated boat, where a knowledgeable guide will share insights into the area's geology, ecology, and history. The day's highlight is a nature walk to the iconic Spirit Island, accessible only by boat, where you'll learn about its significance to the Stoney Nakoda First Nation.

In the evening, gather with your group for an included dinner at a local restaurant, reflecting on the day's adventures and the beauty of Jasper National Park. This immersive experience at Maligne Lake is sure to be a memorable part of your Canadian Rockies expedition. (B,L,D)

Day 5 (July 19): Athabasca Glacier Adventure

After admiring glaciers from afar, today you'll have the unique opportunity to walk on one! Board a custom-built all-terrain vehicle for an ice explorer tour of the Athabasca Glacier. Feel the thrill of standing on centuries-old ice and even take a refreshing sip from the glacier’s pure meltwater. Following your glacier experience, enjoy a delightful picnic lunch amidst the stunning surroundings—perfect for refueling and soaking up the views.

Once you've had your fill of the icy landscapes, the journey continues to the charming town of Banff. Prepare for the next leg of your unforgettable Canadian Rockies adventure, filled with more breathtaking landscapes and memorable experiences. This day combines thrilling exploration with the serene beauty of nature, making it a highlight of the trip. (B,L,D)

Day 6 (July 20): Exploring Banff National Park

Buckle up for a full day of exploration in the stunning Banff National Park. Today is dedicated to experiencing the awe-inspiring beauty of the park, from its ancient valleys to dramatic mountain chains that began forming up to 75 million years ago. Delve deeper into the natural world with an Indigenous Medicine Walk, where a guide will impart traditional Cree knowledge about the local plants, trees, and bushes.

Cap off an incredible day with a ride on the gondola up to the top of Sulphur Mountain. Named for its two sulphurous hot springs, the peak provides breathtaking, panoramic views of the Rockies. Savour these moments and the spectacular scenery during a farewell dinner at the mountaintop, celebrating the unforgettable experiences of your journey through the Canadian Rockies. (B,L,D)

Day 7 (July 21): Return to Calgary and Farewell

Today marks the conclusion of your grand tour of the Rockies as you drive back to Calgary. With no scheduled activities or accommodations, you can reflect on the incredible experiences and memories you've made along the way. Your adventure officially ends upon arrival in Calgary, where we'll say our goodbyes and part ways, carrying with us the spirit of the mountains and the lasting bonds formed throughout the journey.
