Destination Guides USA

During our time in Las Vegas we loved the strip, but it can easily become overwhelming. When visiting Vegas we recommend taking sometime away from the craziness and spend a day or two exploring off the strip.

Here are 10 things you must do off the strip in Vegas.

1. The Neon Museum

Explore the history of Vegas and marvel at retired legendary signs, many from old businesses and casinos displayed on over 6 acres. Tours are offered daily, priced at $18. We recommend taking an evening tour when the museum lights up.

2. Hoover Dam

Named one of the Top 10 Construction Achievements of the 20th Century, Hoover Dam is definitely worth a visit. For $30 you can take a tour of the dam, allowing you to explore lesser known areas and learn how the dam works.

3. Fremont Street Experience

You need to spend a night exploring Fremont Street located in Downtown Vegas. One of the attractions there is the Fremont Experience where they have a lit canopy overhead with nightly light shows, made up of 12.5 million lights! There are also 3 stages with free performances held each night.
