10. Perth to Broome

If you want to drive along one of the most beautiful coastlines in all of Australia you need to experience the drive from Perth to Broome. Along the way you need to snorkel at Ningaloo Reef, visit Shark Bay, drive through some beautiful desert landscapes and watch the sunset on Cable Beach.



9. Great Alpine Stretch

During the summer or winter, the scenery of Victoria’s high country is breathtaking. Take the Great Alpine Stretch to see mountains peaks covered in snow or wildflowers, depending on the time of year you plan your trip. 



8. Tasmanian Ocean Loop

There is no better way to see Tasmania than to drive. After a ferry ride from Melbourne head on to the Tasmanian Ocean Loop and follow the road right around the island. A few places we suggest you stop at along the way are Wineglass Bay, Port Arthur, Table Mountain, and Hobart.

7. Nullarbor Plain

This 2000km stretch of road takes you between Adelaide all the way to Perth (pretty much right across the country). This road trip will give you the ultimate outback experience – Nullarbor literally means no trees



6. The Great Green Way

Imagine tropical rainforests, sandy beaches and an abundance of waterfalls. The drive between Townsville and Cairns truly showcases the beauty of Australia. The road trip will take you through our two favourite Worlds Heritage sites in Australia – the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics Rainforests. 



5. Central Arnhem Highway

This highway, from Katherine to Gove, takes you through the Arnhem Land, a vast tract of nearly 100,000 sq km of Aboriginal owned land. It is one of Australia’s last strongholds of traditional Aboriginal culture and an amazing area to drive through. Just a warning – there is no petrol stops on the way, so be prepared!



4. Snowy Mountains Drive

For the snow lovers out there we highly suggest you check out this scenic circuit around Kosciuszko National Park.

3. The Savannah Way

One of the most incredible road trips you can take is from Cairns to Broome. It may sound like a crazy idea, but will be the best 3700km you have ever driven! The Savannah Way will take you though some stunning National Parks, World Heritage areas and ancient gorges.



2. The Stuart Highway

This road trip will take you along the heart of Australia from Adelaide all the way up to Darwin. This trip will take you into the true Australian outback where the scenery will change from mountain ranges into red rock and sandy desert. You will be able to visit iconic landmarks like Flinders Ranges, Kings Canyon, Katherine Gorge and the one and only Uluru.



1. Great Ocean Road

I bet if you asked any Aussie to name a road trip route, the drive along Great Ocean Road would be the first that comes to mind.  Following along the coastline between Melbourne and Adelaide you will visit the famous Bells Beach, soak in the ocean views and admire the incredible Twelve Apostles.
